Do you like to move it - move it? - Madagascar Reviews
We did!
I went and saw this movie with my husband, who?s 23, my little sister, who?s 6 years old, & my 18 month old son. We all enjoyed it! To me it wasn?t the best movie ever - but it defiantly had it?s moments. For all four of us it was around $40 to see it & that was well worth it!
This is the highest I have rated a movie yet, there isn?t a lot that can go wrong with an animation film it seems. All actors did their parts well, but I am a little bias since I?m a huge Ben Stiller and Chris Rock fan. They story is very original, at least unlike anything I?ve seen in my 21 years. The story is a little drawn out, probably because there are children watching, but you get the idea that Alex the Lion (Stiller) and Marty the Zebra (Rock) have a difference of opinion on where they should be living. Marty longs for the wild, and when he attempts to take matters into his own hands it *seems* to fail. But through an unlikely string of events his fantasies become reality. And now Alex, who was the major attraction at his New York Zoo, has to battle his desire to return to the zoo & devouring his best friends, and try to live in ?the wild?.
This movie gives you tons of wonderful characters, besides the 4 main characters. The penguins, for example, serve as a constant source of one liners that made the audience crack up. And the Malagasy locals, a type of lemur, are an interesting side story in the grand scheme of things.
All in all - a worth while movie with realistic expectations.
Ps - I read the info about this movie, and pregnant Hippo? When did that happen? I would have thought I would have noticed something like that?
