Okay, where to begin.......... - Madagascar Reviews

To start out with, the cast is great, what could go wrong with Chris Rock and Ben Stiller being in the same movie? The movie had a good start with good jokes and me and my friend chuckled a few times, after the 1st 30 minutes the jokes got a little childish and dull,my friend even fell asleep a little bit.The voice over acting is good which helps out the lame and rather predictable story, although i will admit that the cgi in this movie were rather good, and as a gamer i have seen better though, but still the kids will probably enjoy this one,so if you want to take your kid to see this movie,go for it,though some adults will find it a little boring,so all in all, your family may or may not enjoy it.

A waste of your time - Madagascar Reviews

A promo I watched for "Madagascar" deluded me into believing this would be a dumb but funny movie. How wrong I was... all the funny parts were condensed into the promo, leaving me with nothing to enjoy but the good graphics. There is no plot whatsoever, the characters become increasingly annoying as the film wears on, the filmmakers force in some strange moral at the end--"don't eat your friends," basically--and there was little or no coherence between scences. If I hadn't been enjoying the popcorn, I'd have walked out of the theater an hour into the film. Dreamworks has put out some amazing, well thought-out computer animated movies in the past... I only hope "Madagascar" is not indicative of a Disney-like downward spiral of quality of ideas!

Even my mom liked it. - Madagascar Reviews

This movie took a little time (maybe five minutes) at the beginning to get started. Well it needed it to set up the premise. But after that it was almost non stop laughter. Plenty of jokes for kids, and possible even more for the adults. Seiously go see this just for the peguins and monkeys if not for the rest of a truly enjoyable movie.

Madagascar was terrible! - Madagascar Reviews

As a parent, I was so excited to see a new animated kids movie coming to the theather and was happy to rush out and see it, but it was extremely disappointing. My three year old thought it was good and was entertainined (mostly by the music), but it really lacked any adult excitement. The animation is so-so compared to other big animated hits and the characters were all really blah or just plain neurotic. And the story line seemed so thrown together at the last minute. Even the ending didn't really seem like a place to end. You leave the theather thinking, well what happens next and why did I just pay to see that!

Great for the whole family - Madagascar Reviews

combines a lot of great qualities: funny, witty, solid story, amazing animation and some deeper messages.. My kids loved it and so did my wife and myself. This type of universal appeal is rare in movies.

Sometimes crude - Madagascar Reviews

My 7 year old thankfully didn't get some of the jokes, and there was a HELP sign that soon said HELL (it is rated PG after all). Aside from a few crude jokes, Madagascar was a great movie. The scenery looked almost real sometimes, and the characters were very funny, we both laughed a lot. Even though things don't go as planned all the time, the animals don't give up.

I like to move it! move it! i like to move it! - Madagascar Reviews

That song is stuck in my head! I loved this movie! All of the adults in the theater enjoyed the movie as much as the kids did. This movie is a lot of fun and perfect for a family outing.
